The Purpose of a Nurse Retreat

I attended my first women’s retreat in 2017 orchestrated by a group of women 50 and over. The leading five women, including my mom, sponsored a women’s retreat for women of faith.

The retreat had a major impact on my life because up until that day, I had not witnessed anything like it. I remember leaving the retreat feeling refreshed and ready for my next chapter in life concerning my spirituality. The activities were thought provoking, along with the motivational speakers.

So, let’s discuss the purpose of a retreat. The purpose of a retreat is to take a moment to step back and evaluate your current state in life. Retreats provide a safe place for like-minded individuals to connect and refuel each other as in iron sharpening iron.

Retreats could be business related, faith based or gender focused. The overall goal of all retreats is to have a common starting place and work towards a desired destination. Working towards that desired goal could include team building activities, various topic discussions, role playing and networking tasks.

The Nurse Retreat was created to provide a place for nurses to experience breakthrough together. Nurse Burnout, Compassion Fatigue and other specific challenges is the common starting place. The desired destination is self-awareness and increase in self-care.

The Nurse Retreat fulfills that self-care assignment. Being surrounded with likeminded nurses who understand your concerns and challenges while at the same time providing resources and practical interventions to empower you to your desired goal is the reality of The Nurse Retreat.

Retreats are rewarding and necessary to obtain the goal of refreshing, refueling and refocusing in both your personal and professional life.
The Nurse Retreat will provide that safe place on November 6, 2021 in Atlanta, Ga. Registration available via link below, click picture to go directly to link.
